Vanessa Champion PhD - Founder and Editorial Director
Originally an academic at University College London, Ness holds a PhD in Greek and Latin and later worked at the British Museum, developing a deep interest in how societies flourish and how environments shape behaviour. After editing a London newspaper, she founded her own media consultancy, working with clients including the BBC, ITV and the NHS.
Witnessing the healing impact of nature views in hospitals inspired her to establish the Journal of Biophilic Design. Ness also runs Vanessa Champion Media, creates Virtual Nature Walls, and founded the PhotoAid Global Foundation, supporting NGOs while training storytellers worldwide.

Carolina Lopez - Creative Social Media
Carolina is the Founder of the London-based CLB Studio and an ARB registered architect. Born in Colombia, she completed her MA at the Architectural Association and her Part 3 at The Bartlett School of Architecture. She spent 11 years at Zaha Hadid Architects, contributing to major global projects. In 2022, she founded CLB Studio to integrate architecture and landscape through biophilic, regenerative design. The practice helps developers create nature-connected spaces that restore ecosystems, enhance well-being, and deliver lasting value through masterplanning, architectural, landscape, and visualisation services.

Sidney - Corporate Sanity Bringer
Lover of nuts and berries, Sidney has been our source of inspiration since we began the Journal. Constantly on hand to raise a smile and a dangle from the cherry tree branches, Sidney keeps our avian friends company as they tweet and chirp outside our door masking the car sound at the bottom of the drive. He also loves to imbibe from the little solar powered water feature and blow kisses to the frogs who live with us too.
