Benholm

Although Benholm was founded in 1993, our family’s connection with nature can be traced all the way back to our great grandfather, in the late 1800s. He was an industrious smallholder who used his horticultural passion and skill to build a thriving market gardening operation in Ratho, Edinburgh. Fast forward over a hundred years and would you believe it, our head office is just twenty minutes from his original smallholding.

As a team who embrace creativity and nature in our work every day, we felt the home of our business should reflect that ethos. The Benholm head office is nestled in a beautiful rural location near Falkirk in Central Scotland. The premises embrace the local architectural style and utilise a range of eco-friendly initiatives – from biomass boiler heating to rainwater harvesting. It really is the perfect setting for us to respect our rich national and family heritage while working to create a brighter and more sustainable future.

Virtual Nature Walls

We help you create beautiful restorative interiors using nature photography and film

Selecting the right imagery is important for the space and what it’s going to be used for. There are some views which will work in most environments and provide the most open association for people. For instance, these can be images which have a more “generic” reference to nature (certain trees, certain pathways, some sea or stream water images) which will encourage connection for the widest number of people. There are other images which can act as triggers to stimulate imagination, deep thought, clarity, focus, ideas or creativity.

Contact us for a vision board with image ideas or view our Nature Image Library.

You can enhance the visual experience by expanding the improvements with sound (certain levels of bird song, bubbling brooks or gentle waves for instance), scents of nature, circadian lighting, etc. which we can also help specify for you with our networked consultancy.
